Making public my self-surveillance, Dressing Room shows me trying on numerous dresses and looking at myself in an endless loop. The two video feeds, which are projected to meet in a corner, are filmed separately and purposely slightly out of sync. Originally shown at the Visual Arts Gallery in New York in 2006, it was later placed in dialogue with Anne Elizabeth Moore’s video Garment Work in 2011, when it was exhibited at the State Silk Museum in Tbilisi, Georgia as part of Artisterium.
Images from the Dressing Room/ Garment Work installation are available on Flickr, and a brief video interview we conducted for iArt.ge is viewable here.
